Breastfeeding is a gift that lasts a lifetime.....

About Me

My passion for breastfeeding began with the birth of my son, in 2002. As I faced some common challenges in those early postpartum days, I soon realized how valuable the support and education I had received from my lactation consultant, had been. Then came the birth of my daughter in 2006, where more support was needed. Throughout both of those breastfeeding journeys I gained an incredible life experience, as well as a bonding with both of my kids that I will always treasure!

I graduated from U.C. San Diego's lactation consultant program in 2016, and also became board certified in 2016. As an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), it is truly my passion to help each and every mom I can, to achieve her personal breastfeeding goals. I have had the privilege of working alongside other amazing health care professionals at Coeur OB/GYN since May of 2017. My focus is to work through hurdles big and small, by creating a custom feeding plan for each mom and baby. I am here to help you through any number of struggles you may be facing. From latch difficulties, supply issues, returning to work (pumping and storage), thrush, plugged ducts & mastitis, tongue/ lip tie, previous breast surgeries, premature infant feeding obstacles, to questions about medications, health conditions and nutrition.....I am well equipped to work through your personal needs with you!

Testimonials

"Once my little one was born, I was faced with challenges in breastfeeding that I didn't even know existed. I felt so defeated and frustrated in those first weeks. I ended up going to see Kelly multiple times, and can't even describe how important she was in my breastfeeding journey. She was so kind and helpful. She instantly felt like a friend, and reminded me of all the amazing reasons why I wanted to breastfeed. I can honestly say that without her support I would not have been able to breastfeed my son as long as I did. Thank you Kelly!"            -Alexandra Galliher

"After the birth of my son, I was unable to successfully breastfeed due to my baby being in the NICU. I struggled with my milk supply and decided to meet with Kelly. We are so thankful for that decision. Kelly was very gracious with us as new parents. I was struggling with postpartum depression and anxiety at the time, and in a vulnerable place. Kelly made me feel empowered, loved, and gave me all the tools I needed to successfully breastfeed my baby."            -Ann Hammer

"When my third child was born, I couldn't imagine the road we would go down with breastfeeding. You name it, we experienced it. The first time I met Kelly she sat down with my daughter and I, and truly made me feel like she was there to help me. I found not only a breastfeeding support, but a friend, and hopefully soon a colleague. She inspired me to follow my dream of becoming a lactation consultant as well. Thank you Kelly from the bottom of my heart."            -Joy Rogers

"After having my first baby, I had little support with breastfeeding and really struggled. I ended up losing my milk supply, and only made it to about 2.5 months. I felt a lot of guilt not being able to give that gift to my daughter, just knowing it was healthier for her. Two years later, I had my next baby, and had the fear that the same thing would happen. I ended up working with Kelly, and that was a game changer for me in my breastfeeding journey. She helped give me the tools, resources, confidence, and just put my mind at ease working with her. I made it to my goal of 1 year with my son, and also with my third child. Kelly was so kind and compassionate during my time with her, and I would highly recommend her to any mom!"            -Tara Vucinich

"I felt so fortunate to have Kelly be the one to help us on our breastfeeding journey. Kelly is so passionate about what she does. The knowledge she possesses, combined with the passion she truly has, makes her an excellent LC to help you achieve your goals. Through firsthand experience, Kelly was there to get me through both the trials and joys of breastfeeding. She was so professional, understanding, and knowledgeable from the beginning! This was so crucial in starting out life with our little guy."            -Beth Milligan

"After a couple of very painful first weeks of breastfeeding my son, I scheduled an appointment with Kelly. She was incredibly helpful, kind, and patient while working with us. I felt comfortable, and that she truly cared about helping us succeed. Thank you Kelly, for helping me navigate through our rough start, so I could experience joy throughout the rest of my breastfeeding journey."            -Amy Anderson

"My son was born early and his muscles weren't fully developed for feeding. We had trouble with latching and I struggled with my supply. Kelly was very supportive and patient. I felt like she truly listened to me, and I felt comfortable with her. Through her help, we were able to navigate breastfeeding successfully."            -Crystal Cochrane
